In mid-2020, as the world shifted rapidly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, House of Diamonds (HoD) also underwent a profound transformation. Like many others, we transitioned much of our work online, rethinking how we connect, create, and contribute. This global disruption taught us an essential lesson: the need to remain nimble, flexible, and adaptable in the face of change.
Alongside this shift, an unexpected opportunity emerged. Indonesian youth, increasingly curious about social enterprises and seeking direction during an uncertain time, began looking for ways to learn, intern, and even launch their own ventures. HoD became a valuable resource, sharing knowledge on ethical business, social entrepreneurship, and the vital connection between human rights and commerce.
This pivot aligned with a core goal we had set during HoD’s re-founding: to spread awareness of social entrepreneurship among Indonesian youth—even with minimal resources. Fully embracing the digital space, we partnered with local organizations to deliver training to over 1,500 individuals—a milestone in our mission to foster socially responsible business practices.
As we look to the future, HoD remains committed to empowering the next generation of socially conscious leaders. We will continue to leverage digital platforms to educate, equip, and inspire, ensuring that ethical business practices keep pace with an ever-evolving global landscape.
