A Vision For A New Home

"Home" is at the heart of everything we do at House of Diamonds.

Our workspace is nestled in the home of our co-founders (and sisters), Ida and Lila. Many of our employees come from the same community where Ida and Lila were born—the place of their parents' first home. Over the years, many on our team have reached self-sufficiency, with some even achieving the milestone of purchasing homes of their own.

Now, it’s time for us to dream bigger—a future "home" for House of Diamonds. A dedicated space where our employees can work, connect, and thrive. A space where social entrepreneurs and community leaders can gather, learn, and be inspired. A place where we can grow together.

We will deliver the Goods to the address you have stipulated in the Order using a carrier. “Carrier” includes the carriers servants agents and any person or persons carrying Goods on our behalf under any contract of carriage. This will usually be FedEx (worldwide) and PostHaste (New Zealand).

Any indication we may give as to the time of Delivery will be a good faith estimate only. Whilst we will use all reasonable endeavours to effect Delivery at the time we have estimated, our Goods are carried by a courier and are subject to their policies and procedures. We will not be liable for any failure to effect Delivery of the whole or part of any Order due to an event beyond our reasonable control. If Delivery is delayed due to an event beyond our reasonable control, we will notify you promptly of the reason for such a delay and you agree to give us such an extension to effect Delivery as is reasonable in the circumstances. We will not be liable to you for any loss (including but not limited to loss of profit) costs, damages, and charges, expenses caused directly or indirectly by a delay in Delivery (even if caused by our negligence).

If it is not possible for us to effect Delivery for whatever reason including but not limited to your being away or your premises being inaccessible, we will not be liable for any inconvenience or additional charges incurred.

While we make every effort to include all shipping, duty and tax charges for e-commerce orders, we take no responsibility for unpredictable and unforeseen shipping, duty and tax charges to you such as remote delivery fees, unforeseen importing duties and unforeseen handling fees.

We reserve the right to effect Delivery by instalment in which case each instalment will be a separate contract.

Risk of damage to or loss of Goods shall pass to you on Delivery.

All House of Diamonds products are hand made. Hand washing and spot cleaning as necessary is the best way to care for your quilt, wearable or home decor.

Kimonos should be washed in a mesh washing bag to protect the integrity of the belt. Hang dry and light iron.

Natural Dye products should be washed in cold water using non-bleach natural detergent; avoid direct sunlight.

RETURNS INFO

House of Diamonds (HoD) does not allow returned goods, apart from the instance of damaged or defective products.  

Due to the nature of the materials used the Goods will vary in colour, thickness, stiffness, texture and strength.

If the Goods are not visibly damaged on Delivery and there are no manufacturing defects then the House of Diamonds (HoD) Ltd will not accept any returned goods or offer refunds.


Damages and issues


Our Goods are strictly quality controlled at manufacturing and we expect that your Goods will have no manufacturing defects on the delivery of your goods. We will take manufacturing defects seriously and will take appropriate action.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Please take photos and email details of the damage or defect to houseofdiamonds.indo@gmail.com and await further instruction from us.


Exchanges


We do not allow exchanges, apart from the case of receiving the wrong item. See above.


Refunds


We do not offer refunds, apart from in the case of a customer receiving a defective item, where the customer does not want the item to be replaced. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
